Comparison

LinkedIn Bulk Search vs Derrick

Two tools that both meet you in a spreadsheet and both touch LinkedIn data, but they are built for different jobs. Here is the honest split, with sources.

GrowthToolz publishes this comparison. We make LinkedIn Bulk Search, one of the products covered here. Where our product is part of a comparison, we say so and link the sources behind every claim so you can check them.

The short answer

Pick Derrick if the job is enrichment: you want emails and phone numbers, an API, an MCP server for your AI assistant, and a web app next to the spreadsheet. Derrick is the broader product and it prices like one.

Pick LinkedIn Bulk Search (that's us) if the job is narrower: you already have names and companies, or target companies, and you want matching LinkedIn profiles back in the same Google Sheet to review row by row. No LinkedIn login, no new dashboard, no credit system to learn.

Where Derrick is ahead

We'd rather you read this from us than discover it after installing:

  • Contact data. Derrick finds professional emails and phone numbers. LinkedIn Bulk Search returns profile matches and context - it is not an email or phone finder, and we don't claim otherwise.
  • Surfaces. Derrick runs as a web app, a Sheets sidebar, an MCP server inside Claude, and an API. We live in Google Sheets only.
  • Signals. Derrick's paid plans include job-change and funding alerts. We don't offer tracking or alerts.
  • Inputs. Derrick accepts prompts, Sales Navigator searches, Google Maps areas, and French company codes (NAF/SIREN). Our searches start from names, company names, or an industry and location.

Where LinkedIn Bulk Search is the simpler fit

  • Your list already exists. If you have names and companies in a sheet, Candidate Match fills in the profile column without an export-import round trip or a second tool to learn.
  • No LinkedIn account involved. The add-on never touches your LinkedIn login, so there is no account-restriction risk from using it.
  • Built for review, not volume. Every row carries a match grade because these are search matches, not database records. The honest workflow is: run, review, delete the weak rows. If a vendor promises you certainty here, check their fine print.
  • Nothing new to operate. No credit arithmetic, no waterfall to design, no dashboard. Open the sidebar, run, review.

What we can't verify (and won't claim)

  • Data accuracy, theirs or ours. We haven't run a controlled test of Derrick's match or email accuracy, and independent numbers we've seen for this tool category vary widely. Treat any vendor's accuracy claim - including ours - as a starting hypothesis and test on your own list.
  • Ratings. Derrick's site displays 4.6/5 on Google Workspace, 4.5/5 on G2, and 4.6/5 on Trustpilot from 323 reviews (as shown on derrick-app.com when checked). Ratings move; check the live listings.
  • Prices. Both products change pricing. The figures above are from the vendors' own pages on the date shown at the top.

Try the narrow job first

If your next task is matching a list of people or companies to LinkedIn profiles, install the add-on and run it on twenty rows. The review workflow - not the marketing page - is the comparison that matters.
