Find employees by company in Google Sheets

Use Employee Search in LinkedIn Bulk Search to look for public profiles associated with company names, then review the results in your spreadsheet.

When to use this workflow

You know the companies you want to research but do not have a list of named people. Employee Search starts with company names. If you already know each person's name, use Candidate Match instead.

Prepare your inputs

  1. Open a Google Sheet and the LinkedIn Bulk Search sidebar.
  2. Choose Employee Search. Add the company names you want to search.
  3. Use the company name rather than a legal suffix such as Inc. or LLC. Make the company name specific enough to avoid confusing similarly named businesses.
  4. Set Max profiles per search and check the credits available in your account. A larger requested limit does not guarantee that many results.

Run and review

  1. Click Search Profiles in the sidebar.
  2. Wait for the run to finish before starting another. Read any account-limit or background-run message shown in the sidebar.
  3. Review the result sheet. Compare the returned name, company, title, location and profile link against the original profile.
  4. Check whether the employment information is current. Remove unrelated or uncertain matches before using the list.

Limits and common problems

  • Not a complete employee directory. Search may miss profiles, return few results or include former employees.
  • Similar company names. Use a clearer company name and verify each profile rather than assuming all results belong to your target.
  • No role/location people filter in this workflow. Employee Search takes company names. Industry/location inputs belong to Company Search.
  • Not an email or phone finder. This guide makes no claim to verified contact details.
