When to use this workflow
You are researching a market or building a company list. You know the industry and may want to narrow it to a location. This workflow returns companies, not people. It is not a recruiter search for people with a job title in a city.
Prepare and run
- Open a Google Sheet and the LinkedIn Bulk Search sidebar.
- Choose the company-search form. Select an Industry from the available options.
- Optionally choose a Location to narrow the search. Leave it empty if a location restriction is not useful.
- Set Max results per search. Check your account credits before starting.
- Run the search and wait for the result sheet. Review its company names, websites, snippets and links.
Setup example, not live results: Industry = Computer Software; Location = an available country or city option. Choose a location actually offered in your sidebar. The form options and the data available for them can change.
Read the company result sheet

| Snippet, title and link | Search-result context and a source link. Read the source before treating the snippet as a fact. |
Why the list may be short or broad
- Search coverage is limited. A requested maximum is a cap, not a promised number of results.
- Industry labels and location names may appear differently across sources. Start with a useful category, then check whether the returned companies really fit it.
- A specific location can reduce coverage. Broaden it only if the wider area still serves your actual research goal.
- Do not label the list as a complete directory of every company in that market.
